20th August' 2007; We are pleased to announce our active participation in XVIITH STAR AWARDS CEREMONY. held on 19th August at Karachi Marriot Hotel.

"Scientific and Innovation Session".

The session was charred by Prof. Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan Rajput, Vice Chancellor, Mehran University of Engineering & Technology, Jamshoro, Sindh. and Engr. Rafiq Ahmed Lakhani, C.E.O of M/s. RASTEK Technologies.

RASTEK put forward this idea to the management of Star Award i.e. South Asia publications and thanks to Mr. Syed Mehmood Sahib, Chairman South Asia Publication, who supported the idea, judging the need of research work and innovative ideas.

In this context, Pakistan is not also lagging behind. Recipients of XVIIth Star Award 2006 whose research publication, innovations, theories etc. have found a new wavelength of scientific imagination, or these are likely to create a furor on national and international plane, were, therefore, invited to submit their works for necessary appraisal and for award of 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes to the winners.

The recipients were:

1)    Prof. Dr. B.S.Chaudry, Chairman Department of Electronics & Bio Medical, Mehran University of Engineering & Technology, Jamshoro, Sindh.

2)    Prof. Altaf Mukati, Senior Professor, Department of Computer Science, Hamdard University.

3)    Miss Musaratul Ain, National Book Foundation, Islamabad.

M/s Goodwill Instruments of Taiwan also associated with us in this endeavor. RASTEK will regularly support original research / innovative work being its core policy in future too, as we understand innovations and breakthroughs are essentially needed for the progress of the country and Nation as a whole.
